Behind every piece of clay from Cherry Clay Arts is a passionate artist with a vision to transform ordinary clay into extraordinary creations.
Olugbade Adekemi, the Founder and Artistic Director of Cherry Clay Arts, is a professionally trained ceramic artist with a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Fine Art (Ceramics) from The Ibarapa Polytechnic, Eruwa. With over five years of hands-on experience in pottery, ceramics, and moulding, she has dedicated her craft to creating functional clay pieces that combine health, beauty, and authentic African artistry.
Her journey into ceramics deepened during her Industrial Training at Atamora Pottery, where she gained practical industry experience and refined the craftsmanship that today defines Cherry Clay Arts.
But Adekemi’s work has not gone unnoticed.
Her exceptional creativity and craftsmanship have earned her recognition and features on major media platforms, including BBC, TTY Brand Africa, Channels Television, Ayo Adams, Creath Labs, LagboleFujiTV, Eko Hot Blog, Vanguard News TV, and Flammy TV.
These recognitions are not by chance. They are a reflection of the quality, originality, and excellence that define every pottery piece she creates. When respected media platforms highlight a craftsperson, it is because their work stands out — and Adekemi’s pottery has consistently done just that.
Today, through Cherry Clay Arts, she continues to design and produce beautiful clay cookware, tableware, and decorative pottery that bring healthier cooking, richer food flavour, and timeless elegance into homes.
Every product you see is not mass-produced or rushed. It is thoughtfully designed, carefully handcrafted, and created with a deep commitment to quality and authenticity.
So when you choose a piece from Cherry Clay Arts, you are not just buying pottery.
You are bringing home a piece of craftsmanship recognized by respected platforms and trusted by thousands of homes.
